Dan Janasz, Energy Analyst Intern

Dan loves efficiency in all aspects of life and enjoys being out in the field—from skiing the American Birkebeiner or running a trail marathon to helping businesses save energy. That’s why a position that allows him to discover efficient solutions in energy consumption is immensely satisfying.

Currently an engineering student at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD), Dan loves to try new things and explore new places—a good fit for his role as an energy analyst intern. He is excited to get experience finding solutions to inefficient situations.

The first snowfall of the year always gets this passionate cross country skier excited. He is a competitive racer with the UMD Nordic Ski Club and has two “Birkies” under his belt. Dan also is a certified Red Cross instructor for professional CPR, first aid, and lifeguard classes. Recent travels to Norway and Banff, Canada, have inspired him to see the world. His goal is to visit one new country each year on a lifelong journey of continuous learning. We’re glad he made Energy Insight one of his stops.
