Scott Wishart spends a lot of energy biking, running, and engaging in competitive sports, but, at work, he is focused on energy saving. As an energy analyst, Scott fearlessly gathers data, identifies potential energy savings, and coordinates with businesses and utilities to reduce energy consumption in the most appropriate and economical ways.
Scott enjoys learning something new every day by interacting with peers, working with commercial/industrial customers in diverse facilities, and studying industry innovations and trends. He graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies and worked for several years in residential energy conservation prior to joining Energy Insight, Inc. He is a Minnesota Certified Energy Auditor, BPI Building Envelope Professional and BPI Building Analyst Professional. He also is a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) through the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). He has performed over 500 audits in the last six years using diagnostic tools to test the energy performance on residential and multi-family dwellings. Scott has gained valuable work experience and continues to use his knowledge on building systems to consult for energy efficiency improvements to existing buildings.
Outgoing and persistent, Scott does everything in his power to achieve the highest levels of success at work and play. In college, he was selected for an elite lacrosse team, called USA West, which competed for two weeks in Japan. He continues to coach high school lacrosse and pursue an active lifestyle, spending time with family and friends and living out his passion for the great outdoors.
