Energy Analyst Matthew Worms is now an accredited Green Globe Auditor, trained to help travel- and tourism-related businesses achieve and monitor the rigorous sustainability standards of Green Globe certification.
Worms joins an elite worldwide network of professional environmental and sustainability consultants certified to provide Green Globe auditing and verification services. He is the second current Energy Insight, Inc., staff member to achieve this status. Senior Engineer Tanuj Gulati earned Green Globe Auditor accreditation in 2015.
Energy Insight’s Green Globe Auditors work with clients such as hotels and resorts, convention centers, golf courses, restaurants and other businesses who wish to achieve Green Globe certification. The prestigious seal of approval signifies the highest standards of environmental performance, sustainable management, fair trade practices and commitment to cultural preservation in host communities.
Green Globe certified businesses enjoy cost savings from reduced utility and resource usage, new avenues to consumers who expect verified green credentials, better risk management and increased brand recognition.
“We are proud to be part of this worldwide movement and congratulate Matthew Worms for pursuing and achieving Green Globe Auditor accreditation,” said Energy Insight President Matt Haley. “Sustainability matters to today’s travelers, and businesses that are Green Globe certified have a distinct competitive advantage in the world market. We are eager to help clients in their pursuit of best practices through Green Globe certification.”
